Kamp Kurat has reserved a Lodge again for our 2026 weekend. Alternatively, families can bring a tent or RV and set up on a campsite that is reserved during registration. Interested in staying offsite or looking for just one night of lodging? Motel Somerset is 2 miles away. It is a small, family-run motel. For reservations, call 517-547-7241 or book on their website here: Motel Somerset
Meals will be offered on Saturday at lunch during the 2025 camp weekend. Food orders are placed during registration. Somerset also offers a lakeside grill at lunchtime. The grill offers burgers, hot dogs, subs and wraps and each comes with a bag of chips. Orders for the lakeside grill do not need to be purchased in advance.
Each campsite is big enough for one family of up to 8 people. There is room for one RV or 2 tents per site. All Kamp Kurat sites will be in same area. Showers and bath nearby. Please see campsite map here. You will be asked to reserve a specific site during registration.
A lodge has been reserved for Kamp Kurat use. Each lodge has 8 rooms, some with 7 beds, some with 9 beds. Rooms can be reserved for single families or shared. Rooms are basic, but comfortable. Each has private bath, bunk beds, air conditioning and a refrigerator. Guests provide own linens, towels and health care items. Lodge guests have access to a community kitchen.
Lodge rooms typically go quickly. If you do not see this option on the registration page, they are sold out.
Families interested in renting an RV are encouraged to look into this option on their own. RVs can be dropped off at your family's campsite in our group camping area. RV drop-off should be coordinated with the Somerset Beach Campground office, No money will be collected by Kamp Kurat for RV rental, but you will need to register for a camp site during registration.
Typically, RVs have a self-contained water and sewage system. (The water tank is full when you arrive, there is a charge to have Somerset refill the tank during your visit). RVs often sleep 7, 3 adults max. Each has a small kitchenette, but you'll need to bring all of your own kitchen supplies, Bedding, towels, soaps, etc are NOT included.
